Tools Programmer - Full-Time

Are you a Tools Programmer with experience supporting sophisticated, fully automated art pipelines - from Maya to Unity? Do you have a strong proficiency in Python and C#? Do you want to be an integral part in the creation of a super exciting project? This one is for you:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and improve the existing Python-based, Maya art pipeline
  • Provide support to the art team, including debugging pipeline/tool issues, adding new features, and recommending the best practices to optimize performance and visual quality
  • Assist artists with running source assets through the art pipeline and integrating them into Unity

Required Skills And Experience:

  • Previous experience as a Tool Programmer or similar role
  • Strong background in Python/C#
  • Strong background in 3D art pipeline development
  • Experience writing and debugging Maya tools (preferably in Python)
  • Knowledge of Unity asset import and management
  • Ability to understand and debug visual issues that span multiple tools/technologies (Maya, Python pipeline, Unity import, Unity runtime)
  • Ability to provide support and assistance to remote artists
  • Ability to be proactive in dealing with creative and technical issues as they arise
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

  • Character rigging/skinning
  • Git
  • Experience with or interest in learning procedural modeling tools, such as SpeedTree, etc.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment
