Originally managing the QA (Quality Assurance) department, Sabrina now works in the Publishing department as Lead Community Manager. When she was first moved departments the Pandemic hit, which made her experience pretty lonely. But since things have begun opening back Sabrina has been able to work in-person with the new members of the Publishing team, which is a very welcome change for her. "I am finally a part of a team again”, she says.

As Lead Community Manager Sabrina is in charge of coordinating our playtest events, content production for players, and overall player communication. It is the human interaction and direct conversations with the community that Sabrina loves most about her position. You can sense her dedication to our players, and we know they can as well! According to her, working directly with players requires being able to get along with lots of different kinds of people, empathy, and a sense of humor. “It’s important to be able to respond to harshness with a relaxed attitude and not take yourself too seriously”, she says, even though she hasn’t had to deal with much harshness yet.

If Sabrina could have one superpower, she says it would be the ability to be super focused. “Or just have a normal level of concentration skills”, she says playfully. Maybe it is this desire for focus that drew her to meditation, but she says it was originally Oddur, our CTO, who first suggested that Sabrina try meditation for 30 days. If she could go back in time to her day-1 Klang self, Sabrina says she would tell herself to take that challenge seriously early on. Now she has her own dedicated meditation practice, and her goal is 20 minutes of meditation a day!

We can’t say enough how much we value having Sabrina as a part of our Klang family. She is hardworking, creative, and such a joy to work with. These 4 years have been a blast and here’s to many more years together!
