Happy 5th Anniversary, Martin!

Having worked in the Berlin games industry for multiple years, Martin was intrigued when Rainer, our Technical Director, reached out to him with the concept for SEED. “He told me about these 3 dudes from Iceland he was working with and their crazy idea for a game that would basically simulate an entire planet with a bazillion of players on it” Martin says. “Needless to say that this level of insanity had me hooked immediately”.
Today Martin is one of our talented Game Engineers who works to create seamless and engaging gameplay features. Because Martin started early on, he has really left his mark on SEED. “I have touched and created a lot of basic systems in the game” explains Martin. “A lot of which are still around today in some shape or another”.
One of Martin’s important jobs has been to work on SEED’s UI architecture, which has evolved a lot in the last few years. He describes its current iteration as something that he is very proud of.
When we asked Martin what advice he would give himself on day 1 of his time at Klang his answer was short and sweet: “It’s a marathon, not a sprint. Be patient and enjoy the ride.”
Martin’s hard work and dedication have helped us get SEED to where it is today. On top of that, he’s a great friend and colleague and we are so grateful that he’s a part of our Klang family. Here’s to many more years together!
